The Stitching Elk Employees - Wix

I would like to introduce my team at The Stitching Elk as well as apologize for any stray ummm 'speciality fibers.' My team works very hard at their jobs but they just don't understand the whole allergy thing. They will be attending sensitivity training in the near future. Watch for my blog posts introducing each member with some background info. Today, I would like you to meet Wix.

Wix is a calico cat that at one point in time belonged to my daughter, Michelle. My daughter moved into an apartment that didn't allow pets so she asked if I would be willing to take her. I said yes and she has been a pain every since. Wix really doesn't like me but she does tolerate me. She also lets me know when I am going to have a bad day due to health problems. She only cuddles with me right before flare-ups with my essential tremors.

She likes to play the in-out game every day all day. For those who don't know, the in-out game is bascially your furry friend wanting to go outside and come back in every 5 minutes. Sometimes it gets exhausting. Wix tends to wander around the neighborhood making friends with every stranger she meets. In fact, I get several texts or calls asking if I know my cat is ouside and if she knows her way home. I am thinking of starting a page on this website for people to post pictures of them and her.

Wix is our HR manager because she makes sure the in-out game is part of my team's daily routine. She also ensures that I clean daily if not every 15 minutes because she likes to knock things over when it is break time. She also hisses or swats at the rest of the employees when they get out of line or refuse to take breaks. She also brings gifts to the front door to thank me for a job well done. I'm still not sure why she thinks dead animals are an appropriate gift but it is the thought that counts.

Wix would like to thank you for supporting our business as it helps to pay for cat food, tuna, litter, and vet bills. Although, she would also appreciate more funding so she can have her tower back. She use to have a cat tree with a tower that she loved to sit in and look down on her subjects. She got too big for the tower and it broke so we had to throw away the cat tree. She has been very upset and refuses to forgive me.

Thank you for spending some time with us and happy shopping!
