Unfortunately, my borders on the bottom left hand side were not matching up. I had to frog two sections and only then did I discover what went wrong. Sad thing is my mistake was not in the two sections I had unstitched (aka frogged). It was a mistake in the bottom dark pink border that was creating the issue. I had miscounted and did a section of stitching wrong. This might be the reason that stitchers understand making mistakes, finding the problem, and fixing the problem.
Sometimes its a simple issue of miscalculation on our part and it just needs to be restarted; as in this case. Other times the miscaculation is just not worth the effort to undo and start over. So the stitcher adjusts the design to incorporate the flaw in thier project. I've had to do this multiple times for myself and to help other stitchers.
The funny thing is no one sees the flaws except, perhaps another stitcher. Unless, the flaws are pointed out. I can tell you every project I have stitched or fixed that has flaws. Every single one. I can even show you where they are on my projects. Isn't that interesting?
You do not know or recoginze my flaws just like I do not know or recognize your flaws until some one else points them out. Including ourselves talking about our flaws. Internally we tend to focus on our flaws until we fail to see the whole picture of ourselves. We only see the flaws.
Now, there is nothing wrong with focusing on those flaws so long as we recognize that there is a problem that needs to be fixed. We carefully analyze the problems, different solutions, and corresponding outcomes. That way we can choose the best outcome for the the problem. Including, leaving a problem, or project, sitting in a drawer waiting for a day when we feel mentally capable to deal with the problem.
It's not that we don't want to fix the problem. It's just at that point of time we may not recognize what the problem is or we do not know how to handle the problem. So the problem sits until we can figure out what the problem is or how to deal with the problem. Stitchers are able to do this easily because they understand that one problem, or project, is not all that they are. We are many projects each in different states of completion.
